In addition to being a Senior Legal Counsel in CMR, James Leong is a member of the BCSC’s Tech Team. James acts as a liaison to the fintech community to receive and understand novel and innovative business ideas from companies in the space and provide information to fintech companies about how securities laws may apply to them. While he isn’t a programmer, James avidly reads up on developments in the fintech space and may be helpful in reconciling the current regulatory framework with emerging topics in the blockchain and regtech spheres.
